9.) What Cindy Sheehan was trying to achieve was the proper acknowledgment of her son's death. She wanted the whole world to know how she thought the war was unjust, and that President Bush did not care about those who had fallen. I believe she did achieve her goal. Sheenhan was on national television, and camped out in the President's yard to get her point across. After all this commotion, people were bound to notice.

7.) Cindy Sheehan was enraged by the lack of effort George W. Bush was putting in to find a solution for the war. When she found out that her son, Casey Sheehan, had been killed in Iraq, she decided that she was going to do something about it. She had written letters, blogged, testified, and given speeches. Sheehan was determined to get her point across and get as many supporters as she could. When nothing was being done as a result of her acts, she took it a step farther and went to the Bush's ranch. There, she sat in a roadside ditch, along with many other protesters, waiting for the confrontation with Bush. This captured the media's attention and she became nationally known as "Peace Mom." However, the publicity hadn't all be good. She was constantly harrassed by the commentators and maliciously lied about on the internet. Still, she continued on with her war protest and wouldn't let down. She had been arrested several times, but it didn't stop her. Cindy continued to rally and protest about how unnecessary the war in Iraq was and that it was pointless. Sheehan's strength and determination is what really impressed people, right upon meeting her. Her high morale and spirits were never dampened by any bumps in her protests.
8.) The law that Cindy Sheehan broke might surprise you.She did not get arrested for sitting outside the president's house. She was not arrested for causing a riot and protesting. She wasn't arrested for being under the influence of alcohol, or punching anyone. The real reason why Cindy Sheehan was arrested is because she was wearing a t-shirt and refused to cover it when she was asked to do so.The t-shirt had the number of people that were killed in Iraq and then the words, "How many more?" When she refused to cover her shirt, she was handcuffed and taken to away from her campsite. To read more about this, click here.
